In November, 2001, the idea of a home and business inventory service was founded by three businessmen who saw the need for this type of service after one of the owners, Bradley Craig, was robbed of a $5000 piece of memorabilia at a local sports arena. Mr. Craig had no proof of ownership. After researching the idea of an inventory service, Mr. Craig strategically teamed up with two other partners, Leno Marin and Larry Dorsey to form ICON Inventory Systems.

We are all informed by our insurance companies, public officials, and attorneys to have some sort of record of our possessions. Simple, right? Very seldom do people take the time to complete this project. Most put it off for extended periods of time, despite the fact that the tools or services necessary to accomplish this are readily available. Further research has shown that most homeowners are up to 30% under-insured and often wind up with considerable losses in claim situations. Based on these key facts, the trio built a service that would give homeowners a comprehensive record of their possessions at an affordable cost.

ICONĀ Imaging began working with insurance companies and attorneys directly to further advocate the importance of documentation, whether completed by homeowners themselves or by retaining the services of ICON Imaging. The plan had considerable response and the company continues to work with these professionals today.

Two and a half years after the company’s inception, the service package evolved to include proprietary software for the homeowner. This gave homeowners the option to conveniently update their “Inventory Portfolio” as needed. The company operates under ICON Imaging and provides a host of other image related and visual communication services.
